The turns in the The Turning

The horror movie genre is one of the most successful genre in the movie industry. Scary endings and suspense filled scenes have carved a niche and are not going anywhere anytime soon.

Inconclusive endings are not new to the genre but some endings are indeed too inconclusive. The turning is a 2020 horror movie which held a lot of scare factors but failed to land at a significant point.

With little similarities to The Boy 1, a young lady decides to tutor an orphaned little girl at their manor but is met with circumstances she could have never prepared for.

The whole story started out quite well -the creaking doors, the shadows, the nightmares and then there was an addition of the creepy behaviour given off by Miles, the brother of Flora.

The major flaw in the movie was the absence of a definitive conclusion, too many questions were left unanswered- Is Kate insane? Is Miles truly possessed by Quint? Can Flora see Quint but says no because of her brother? Does Kate have premonitive abilities? What face did Kate see at the end of the movie?

If the producers were aiming at curiousity, they totally missed the mark. The actors were good in their performance, but the storyline took a rather bad turn towards the end. Aside this, it's still a horror movie to see.

The Gentlemen; Movie Review

CAST   Matthew McConaughey (Michael Pearson) Charlie Hunnam (Raymond Smith) Henry Golding (Dry Eye) Hugh Grant ( Fletcher) Michelle Dockery (Rosalind Fletcher) Jeremy Strong (Matthew Berger) Eddie Marson (Big Dave) Colin Farrell (Coach).       The words " drug" and " Mafia" have been known to be associated with blood, chain of commands and dirty deals. The world of drugs isn't one to be taken lightly as every action can be interpreted as either weakness or strength. The Gentlemen showed a slightly different approach to the drug world. It wasn't without deaths and orders but it hard a slightly comedic part to it. Spoilers ahead .      If you've seen the movie, then you can either agree or disagree with some of the wordings here. But if you haven't, I'll try to lessen the spoilers. If the movie had been 3hours long or even 4hours, I doubt if I would notice. Because I was glued to my screen till the very end. The blend and scenery was q...

Movie Review; Vampires vs. The Bronx

Cast Coco Jones, Method Man, Chris Reed, Jarden Micheal, The Kid Mero, Gregory Diaz IV, Zoe Saldana, Sarah Gardon. Vampires vs. The Bronx is about a group of kids trying to save their neighbourhood with amateurish vampire techniques—which come in handy. How do kids always have this confidence to face the evil that's new to them? If I as much as see a rat, I'm getting the hell out of that place—but not these kids. They uncover conspiracies and charge head-on. Impressive. They might not be able to stand up to school bullies, but they have what it takes to stand up to vampires and clowns.  The movie had a regular dose of finding one's strength in friendship and solidarity. And the usual community-never-believing-the-kids until the worse has happened or is close. Please, you must not divulge information to everyone. Don't take the bait and talk about how you're alone searching for a purpose or have no family around who'll miss you. That's how people...

Movie Review: A Madea Homecoming

Madea is back! Hallelujer! After the Madea Family Funeral we thought we had seen the last of this iconic screen character, but 2022 has given us a reason to laugh out loud. Movie Plot Madea's Homecoming surrounds the family getting together for Madea's great grandson's graduation ceremony. As expected when the Madea clan comes together, secrets are revealed and chaos the order of the day. Spoilers ahead First off, Madea is a great grandmother. Not grand. Great grand. That's three generations alive in the clan. How old exactly is Madea? Did she take some vampire blood?  Back to serious issues? What type of best friend helps her best friend divorce her husband and then fall in love with the best friend's husband to the extent of wanting to get married to him. That's wrong on so many levels. Especially if you include the fact that she was the attorney in charge of the divorce and the douche bag got everything from the divorce. Babe! She freaking broke e...
