Movie Review: FREE GUY

Gaming is a habit many of us take up to pass time and relax. Some of us like to play Candy crush and Candy soda, while others prefer the violent ones like Grand Theft Auto, Miami Vice, Deadly target, etc. We also have those who combine both worlds. Case in point: me. Don't get confused.  Free Guy isn't a video game. It's a movie about a video game and it's involvement with reality. PLOT An NPC (Non Playable Character) evolves beyond being non-playable to actually becoming the hero of his city. He develops feelings, emotions and changes the path of all those who come his way. On another end, we have two friends who want to take down the guy who stole their game idea. When both goals meet, every party involved must take a stand to fight together for what each wants. That's enough. I'm tempted to keep going.  MOVIE PROPER The whole movie—which ran for almost two hours—had me invested from the first scene until the very last cast.  Not every movie can d...

Freaky; Movie Review

Cast Kathryn Newton Vince Vaughn Uriah Shelton Misha Osherovich Celeste O'Connor Dana Drori Katie Finneran Melissa Collazo Genre: Horror/Comedy. Happy new year to you and yours. It's been a wonderful year, 2020, and now we're ready for 2021. And despite being a new year, there are 2020 movies I couldn't see due to many, many, reasons beyond my control. So, I'll see them and I'll talk about them while I wait for 2021 movies. And if 2021 movies aren't worth it, I'll still see more 2020 movies. So, Freaky , huh? Firstly, kudos to Vince Vaughn (Butcher). Playing out a teen character looked so cool on him. Jack Black has been known to do this effortlessly too, but Vaughn made it delightable to watch. Typical teenager to ask 'where am I?' after waking up in a strange house. The supporting actors were also good with their roles.  Plot As much as I enjoyed the movie, some parts of the plot were just too much of clichés. The regular girl wit...

The Invisible Man 2020

The horror movie genre is a sort after genre. It's ability to instill fear despite being an act is quite commendable.  Cast Elizabeth Moss, Oliver Jackson Cohen,Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid,Harriet Dyer, Micheal Dorman.      The invisible man was a break from the norm of regular horror story. With horror movies and haunting, you would expect the presence of a malevolent spirit, but the case was quite different. It takes a look at the life of an abusive woman who must do what she can to escape her abuser; her husband.       A suicide case turns to a haunting case, as the "spirit" of her husband comes knocking. With the lives of loved ones on the line, she races against time to prove her innocence and sanity.      The main actress Elizabeth Moss who starred as Cecilia Kass  was impeccable in her acting. Her facial expressions were dead on as they accurately depicted what she was going through at ...

SPIES IN DISGUISE

Unbird me now! The Spies in Disguise- which is also Will Smith's second animation is a brilliant piece of work. Cast Will Smith (Lance Sterling), Tom Holland (Walter Beckett), Rashida Jones (Marcy Kappel), Ben Mendelsohn (Robotic arm Villain), DJ Khalid (Ears), Reba Mac in tire (Joy Jerkins).       The story centers around a genius kid- Walter who has no social life but a talent for  inventing non-dangerous spy equipment. He feels there is a less violent way to save the World and seeks the help of the world's best Spy- Lance Sterling (Will Smith) in order to achieve this. But we must keep in mind that all change is hard at the beginning, messy at the middle and eventually beautiful at the end.       Okay, enough plot for now. Down to analysis. The flow between the two actors, Will Smith and Tom Holland was apt. Despite not seeing each other over the course of the 2 years which the film was being produced. The voicing from the ac...
