SONIC THE HEDGEHOG

Okay. I absolutely adored this movie.

I'm a sucker for games and movies. So when game characters are incorporated into movies so perfectly, I get all giddy.

Cast

Ben Schwartz,James Madsen, Jim Carrey, Tika Sumpter, Lee Majdoub.

The redesign was totally worth it, even though it cost more money, it paid off.

Spoilers ahead.

I've watched different sonic cartoons and also played the game, but the movie was a hit. A blue alien hedgehog leaves his own planet because people want to use his powers..He comes to Earth-Green hill to be specific and spy's on all the neighbors, particularly the sheriff whom he calls "Donut Lord".

But as it is with lending assistance to strangers, trouble always follows.

Lemme start with the voicing for sonic.

Ben Schwartz was pretty impressive in his voicing, sounding like a young boy and portraying how their mind works.

Sheriff Tom (Madsen) was cool. Not so serious and not so unserious. His performance wasn't excessively action based, but had a mix of warmth, friendliness to it.  I love how expletives weren't completed at the end of a sentence; because it's a pg film.

My major surprise was Jim Carrey. It was so good seeing him again after a long absence from the screen. Considering the fact he always acts as a weirdo in his movies, becoming Dr Robotnik wasn't difficult. His enigmatic display, as well as puns, I particularly liked "Rockonissance". I liked when he told Wade to sit there and be "you"...sless. Lol

The movie was a box office hit, a whopping 300million in box office. Reviews were mixed. Commendations on the redesigns and acting skills but the storyline according to then was plain. Well,  I enjoyed it non the less. It's a fun movie for game lovers and a binding family movie.

The Gentlemen; Movie Review

CAST   Matthew McConaughey (Michael Pearson) Charlie Hunnam (Raymond Smith) Henry Golding (Dry Eye) Hugh Grant ( Fletcher) Michelle Dockery (Rosalind Fletcher) Jeremy Strong (Matthew Berger) Eddie Marson (Big Dave) Colin Farrell (Coach).       The words " drug" and " Mafia" have been known to be associated with blood, chain of commands and dirty deals. The world of drugs isn't one to be taken lightly as every action can be interpreted as either weakness or strength. The Gentlemen showed a slightly different approach to the drug world. It wasn't without deaths and orders but it hard a slightly comedic part to it. Spoilers ahead .      If you've seen the movie, then you can either agree or disagree with some of the wordings here. But if you haven't, I'll try to lessen the spoilers. If the movie had been 3hours long or even 4hours, I doubt if I would notice. Because I was glued to my screen till the very end. The blend and scenery was q...

Movie Review: Moonshot

Well, well, well, would you look at Mars. I've been craving a romance movie for a while now and when I saw the trailer for Moonshot, I was like, yes. Finally! Something to see.  Yeah, maybe not so much happiness after all. Movie Plot Following the evolution of earth in 2049 where Mars is now habitable and a plane ticket cost $950,000, two teenagers struggle to come to their reality. While one longs to go to Mars because he doesn't feel at home on earth, the other misses her boyfriend and decides to go and join him. With so many dreams on the line, the two of them explore their fantasies. Okay. Where do I start from? Seeing Lana Condor and Cole Sprouse gave me so much happiness. You just have to love those two because of their individual performance in so many other movies. Case in point: Riverdale and To All The Boys I've Loved Before. I didn't have any expectations aside from seeing both of them together.  The storyline was pretty normal. You know, those re...

Movie Review; Vampires vs. The Bronx

Cast Coco Jones, Method Man, Chris Reed, Jarden Micheal, The Kid Mero, Gregory Diaz IV, Zoe Saldana, Sarah Gardon. Vampires vs. The Bronx is about a group of kids trying to save their neighbourhood with amateurish vampire techniques—which come in handy. How do kids always have this confidence to face the evil that's new to them? If I as much as see a rat, I'm getting the hell out of that place—but not these kids. They uncover conspiracies and charge head-on. Impressive. They might not be able to stand up to school bullies, but they have what it takes to stand up to vampires and clowns.  The movie had a regular dose of finding one's strength in friendship and solidarity. And the usual community-never-believing-the-kids until the worse has happened or is close. Please, you must not divulge information to everyone. Don't take the bait and talk about how you're alone searching for a purpose or have no family around who'll miss you. That's how people...
