Movie Review: FREE GUY

Gaming is a habit many of us take up to pass time and relax. Some of us like to play Candy crush and Candy soda, while others prefer the violent ones like Grand Theft Auto, Miami Vice, Deadly target, etc. We also have those who combine both worlds. Case in point: me. Don't get confused.  Free Guy isn't a video game. It's a movie about a video game and it's involvement with reality. PLOT An NPC (Non Playable Character) evolves beyond being non-playable to actually becoming the hero of his city. He develops feelings, emotions and changes the path of all those who come his way. On another end, we have two friends who want to take down the guy who stole their game idea. When both goals meet, every party involved must take a stand to fight together for what each wants. That's enough. I'm tempted to keep going.  MOVIE PROPER The whole movie—which ran for almost two hours—had me invested from the first scene until the very last cast.  Not every movie can d

Animation Review: Soul

Cast Jamie Foxx, Angela Basset, Tina Fey, Richard Ayoade, Daveed Diggs, Sam Lavagnino, Phylicia Rashad. Way to go Pixar! As an ardent cartoon watcher, it's not every time I see an animation like Soul. The lesson and reason behind the whole animation spoke to me, and I'm sure many others as they watched it. Kudos to them on the casting and breaking records. Summary A middle-aged school teacher gets the opportunity of a lifetime to play with a famous band. This limbo sets the pace for a revelation like no another, and a chance to do right by a certain 22. Plot When it started, I couldn't say what sort of animation I was going to get. I knew it wasn't the happily-ever-after Disney tradition, but then I just couldn't place it. Thirty minutes into the movie and I'm laughing my ass out. Jamie as a fa

Freaky; Movie Review

It's been a wonderful year, 2020, and now we're ready for 2021. And despite being a new year, there are 2020 movies I couldn't see due to many, many, reasons beyond my control. So, I'll see them and I'll talk about them while I wait for 2021 movies. And if 2021 movies aren't worth it, I'll still see more 2020 movies. So, Freaky , huh? Firstly, kudos to Vince Vaughn (Butcher). Playing out a teen character looked so cool on him. Jack Black has been known to do this effortlessly too, but Vaughn made it delightable to watch. Typical teenager to ask 'where am I?' after waking up in a strange house. The supporting actors were also good with their roles.  Plot As much as I enjoyed the movie, some parts of the plot were just too much of clichés. The regular girl wit
